Insurance & cashless
- Cashless empanelment at Hiranandani, Fortis, Zynova Shalby and Godrej Memorial for most major TPAs and corporate insurers.
- Pre-authorisation is handled by the hospital insurance desk — typically 24–72 hours before planned surgery.
- Robotic and laparoscopic surgery are covered by most policies. Day-care procedures (e.g. laparoscopic gallbladder) are also covered.
- Bring your insurance card, government photo ID and previous medical records on the day of admission.
Empanelment lists change periodically — confirm cashless eligibility with the hospital insurance desk before admission.
Indicative cost estimate
Approximate self-pay ranges across empanelled hospitals. Actual cost depends on hospital, room category, implants used and length of stay. A formal estimate is issued before admission.

Second opinion
A second surgical opinion is appropriate before any major or cancer surgery, when the plan involves stoma / colostomy, when you’ve been told surgery isn’t possible, or when you simply want clarity on alternatives.

Recovery timeline
Typical recovery after laparoscopic or robotic abdominal surgery. Major or open surgery may take longer.

- • Walk within 4–6 hours after most keyhole procedures
- • Liquids the same evening for day-care cases
- • Soft diet, early mobilisation
